No luxury hotel at the expense of the rainforest!

For twenty years, the Malaysian Interhill logging company has been destroying the Penan's rainforest in Borneo and thus threatening the habitat and culture of these indigenous people. The French ACCOR Group is now helping Interhill to further boost the profits obtained from destroying the rainforest through a big hotel project. The ACCOR Group's participation in the Novotel Interhill in Kuching is in blatant contradiction to the Group's Environment Charter.

"We desperately need help from outside. Please put pressure on Interhill and the ACCOR Group so that we can save our last forest reserve." (A Penan from the middle Baram, Sarawak / Malaysia)
